Where Composite Jacket Metal Oxide Arrester is Used? Expand
The series of composite jacket metal oxide arresters are mainly used to protect, Distribution transformers, Box-type substations (compact power stations), Cable heads and terminations,Pole-mounted switches, Substation electrical equipment. They also suppress re-ignition overvoltages generated by vacuum switch or oil switch switching of capacitor banks, protecting the capacitor banks from overcurrent damage. Additionally, these arresters protect the insulation of generators, engines, and motor neutrals from atmospheric overvoltages and operating overvoltages.

Our lightning arresters are classified according to IEC 60099-4 standards, with model letters indicating specific application categories: S Series (Station): For substations and power plants, offering high energy absorption capacity Z Series (Distribution): For overhead distribution lines and network protection D Series (DC): For HVDC applications and DC traction systems R Series (Capacitor Bank): Specially designed for capacitor bank protection against switching surges T Series (Traction): For electrified railway systems and traction power supply Each series is engineered to meet the specific technical requirements of its application environment, ensuring reliable overvoltage protection in compliance with international standards

The composite outer casing metal oxide arrester features metal oxide varistor sheets with excellent volt-ampere characteristics as the core, combined with a silicone rubber composite material insulating jacket. The silicone rubber offers resistance to electric corrosion, oxidation resistance, good elasticity, high mechanical strength, and is manufactured using primary integral compression molding technology.
