Application: Suitable for High-Capacity Withdrawable Circuit Breakers
The GC5-1600A (36 Fingers) Tulip Contact, also known as a Rose or Finger Contact, is the primary moving contact for vacuum circuit breakers and a core conductive component in high-voltage switchgear. It is specifically engineered for applications requiring elevated current-carrying capacity, such as main incoming feeders and high-load distribution circuits.
Mounted on the circuit breaker truck, the tulip contact securely grips the fixed (static) contact when the truck is levered into the "Work" position, completing the electrical circuit. Designed for reliability and superior performance under continuous currents up to 1600A, it meets and exceeds stringent industry standards for electrical conductivity and mechanical durability.
This high-capacity tulip contact is widely used in:
ZN63 (VS1)-12 Series indoor vacuum circuit breakers for high-load applications
VB1 Series withdrawable circuit breakers
KYN28 (GZS1) medium-voltage switchgear requiring 1600A rating
Main incoming feeder panels in industrial and commercial installations
Step-up transformer circuits and medium-to-large capacity distribution networks
Other withdrawable switchgear applications requiring reliable primary circuit connection at 1600A rating
Designed as a premium performance component, the GC5-1600A tulip contact ensures safe and efficient power distribution in AC power systems with rated frequency of 50/60Hz and rated voltage up to 12kV.
